Our History It was in the year 1974 when it opened for the very first time, then being called El Gorro, it’s founder being Mr. Fausto Gutiérrez. It is said the option to be served in your car previously existed, without the need of going into the restaurant. After closing and reopening in 1970 with a few changes, Carnes El Potrero has come to be an important part of Tijuana’s history, being one of the most referred tourist locations. Its peculiar design catches the attention of national and international diners, together with the interior ambiance full of pictures, photos, paintings and stained glass that create an atmosphere of tranquility and beautify the installations, allowing wholesome interactions.
